My repeat client, Minneapolis-based wellness brand Nova Aura Studio, came to me to create the photo and video content for their new Buccal Massage Training Course.
Kirsten was stepping into her next level as a teacher and educator, as one of the only practitioners in the Midwest offering Buccal Massage to lead service providers in her field. Buccal facial massage is a specialized intraoral technique that works both inside and outside the mouth to release jaw tension, TMJ, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and naturally sculpt and lift the face. To capture a skill like that on camera, the content has to be precise, well-lit, and step-by-step clear.
As a brand photographer and course content creator based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, I partnered with Nova Aura Studio on a full-day content shoot (paired with a VIP multi-day project) to produce a full library of photos and videos now available in her online training portal. Every frame was focused on technique and placement so that students anywhere in the world could follow each movement with total confidence. This wasn’t just brand photography – this was education, captured beautifully.
These images didn’t stop at the training portal. They were woven into the course sales page, social media, and marketing too – working across every touchpoint of her brand. (P.S. blog post coming soon on how I built and designed the full backend of the course!)
Alongside the photography, I captured and edited all the video content as well. This included long-form training videos featuring Kirsten speaking, demonstrating, and teaching each technique. Around 15 modules in total, each running about 2–3 minutes, complete with subtitles. Every video was built to be clear, easy to follow, and available in her paid course portal for her students to reference.
The footage was also cut down and delivered for Kirsten to use across Instagram Reels and TikTok – giving her brand a cohesive, polished presence on and off the course platform.
Because this content is inside her paid course, exclusive to her students. I am not able to include it in this blog.
